A Utah mom is advocating for more funding for those with autism and their caregivers while creating special eyeglasses for youth with the condition.

Heidi Kershaw is hosting community conversations to increase understanding and support. She told St. George News that many organizations in Southern Utah supports families with autism, but that the state could do more.

The GAC is hosting Safe Shopping for Special Needs at the Leonardo Museum on October 19. Located in the Human RIghts Gallery, this experience will combine fashion with community resources tailored for the uniquely-abled and their families.

At the beginning of May in Bethlehem, the founder of Autism Superhero Palestine prepared a large room in a community center for a day of painting and art. Autism families trickled in and found their own bin of art supplies and plenty of table space to bring their own creativity to life.
